When Alex reached out to Mighty Lawn, his lawn in Wareham was in disrepair. He told a story of how when he had moved into the property, he had the best lawn on his street, but without a proper fertilization weed control program, his lawn had been overtaken by crabgrass, and a host of broadleaf weeds. Upon initial inspection, it was determined that the best course of action would be to perform a small number of weed control treatments throughout the remainder of the summer, and renovate the lawn in the fall.

Two applications of weed control were performed in the months of July and August, followed by an aeration and slice seeding project in early September. For this project, we used 30 pounds of our proprietary sunny grass seed mix, consisting mostly of turf type tall fescue. The lawn was watered appropriately, twice per day for the following 25 days. An application of starter fertilizer was applied 2 weeks after the renovation was performed, as to allow time for seed germination before adding nutrients to the soil. The result was a lawn that became free of weeds, and now consists of a thick, dark green carpet-like stand of turf. The before and after pictures show Alex's lawn on the day of the renovation, and 6 weeks later when the winterizer fertilizer was applied.
